This is my favourite Chocolate Mousse recipe, it is very simple and easy to follow. There are many health benefits of Chocolate, which I’ve listed in the video, so you can make this and feel free to enjoy it.
Choc Orange Mocha Mousse & White Chocolate Bark
Time 30 mins | Serves 4
Choc Orange Mocha Mousse
- 180g chopped Dark Chocolate
- 1 cup Boiling Water
- 1 tbsp instant Coffee
- Rind of 1 Orange
White Chocolate Bark
- 1/2 cup Cacao Butter
- 1/4 cup Coconut Oil
- 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
- 1/4 cup of any Nuts & Berries you like
Start by adding the Chocolate and Boiling Water in a bowl and leave it to sit until the chocolate melts. Once melted, combine in a mixing bowl using the whisk head for 5 mins, until smooth and creamy. Next you can add flavourings, this is entirely optional, so first add in the coffee and continue whipping until smooth again, if the mixture gets too thick just add a tablespoon of boiling water while mixing and it’ll smooth out again. Lastly add in the Orange Rind and combine. Finish by portioning the Mousse out into nice glasses and leave in the fridge to set.
To make the White Chocolate Bark, add the Cacao Butter to a saucepan and melt over a low heat. Once melted take it off the heat and add the Coconut Oil and Maple Syrup then combine. Next you need to blend this mixture thoroughly with a stick blender for 1 -2 mins, it’ll look brown at this stage but it will turn white when it sets. To finish lay all the Nuts and Berries you’ve selected onto a tray lined with baking paper and simple pour the Chocolate mixture over the top, covering everything. Leave this tray in the freezer for 15 mins to set. Once set you can break the Chocolate into large shards of bark.
To plate it all up simple take a glass of the set Mousse and stick some White Chocolate Bark into it. Plated up this makes an elegant dinner party dessert, served in some nice glasses.
