Jadore’s favourite treat is Bread and mine is Chocolate, so we combined them to make a Choc Bread Pudding!
Chocolate Fruit Bread Pudding
Time 40 mins | Serves 6 – 8
- 2 cups Almond Milk
- 1 cup chopped Dark Chocolate
- 4 cups Raisin Bread (about 4 slices broken into small pieces)
- 1/2 cup chopped Walnuts
- 1/4 cup Cacao Powder
- 2 tsp Coconut Syrup
- 1 tsp Coffee Powder
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
First preheat the oven to 180°C.
Next heat 1 1/2 cups of the Almond Milk on a stove till boiling point and pour over 2/3 cup of the Chocolate, leave to sit for 1 min then stir till smooth.
Put the bread into a greased baking dish and sprinkle with the Walnuts and remaining 1/3 cup Dark Chocolate.
Now heat the remaining 1/2 cup Almond Milk and stir in the Cacao, Coffee and Syrup, then combine this with the melted chocolate mixture. Pour this mixture over the bread and finish by sprinkling some Cinnamon over the top.
Bake for 20 mins. Serve hot or cold.
