Packed with chickpeas this Snickers really does satisfy! Everyone’s favourite chocolate bar made vegan and healthy.
Chickpea Snickers Bars

Ingredients
Caramel Layer
- 1 1/2 cups Dates (soaked for 20 – 30 mins in hot water)
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Vanilla
- 1 tsp Maca Powder
- 2 tbsp melted Coconut Oil
Nougat Layer
- 1 1/2 cups cooked Chickpeas
- 3/4 cup Dates (soaked for 20 – 30 mins in hot water)
- 2 tbsp melted Coconut Oil
- 3 tbsp Coconut Cream (thick part of can)
- 1/2 tbsp Vanilla
- 1/2 tbsp Maca Powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- 1 cup roasted Chickpeas
Choc Layer
- 3/4 cup melted Cacao Butter
- 1/4 cup Cacao Powder
- 1/2 cup Coconut Milk Powder
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
Method
Start with the Caramel layer by blending all of the ingredients together till smooth. Place the Caramel in the freezer to cool.
To make the Nougat layer blend all the ingredients, except the roasted chickpeas till smooth. Next press the mixture into a lined rectangular tin. Now take the cooled Caramel and carefully spread it over the top of the Nougat. Next sprinkle the roasted chickpeas over the top of the Caramel layer and press them in. Finally put the tray in tin in the freezer to firm up.
To make the Choc Layer simply combine all of the ingredients together, stirring till smooth.
Once firm, slice the snickers bars into any size you like and coat with the Chocolate Layer. Store the Snickers bars in the fridge in an air tight container.
