Ingredients
- 4 Cups of desiccated or shredded coconut
- optional – any flavour of choice eg: pinch salt, maple syrup, or vanilla
Method
Blend in a food processor till smooth and creamy. (Process takes a while about 10mins to 15mins approx). Add any desired flavourings or leave plain.
This coconut butter can be stored outside the fridge for up to two weeks or in a fridge for longer. Heat jar to soften before use as it can set very hard.
This can be used as a spread, dip, frosting for cakes, Cookes & topping for ice cream! Also can be used in recipes.
If you only need a small amount for a recipe, blend in a spice grinder – or blend some you’ve already made to get a smoother texture.
