Chilli Hot Chocolate

(Sangeetha’s Mystery Box Challenge Recipe)

(Serves 1, double recipe for 2)


  • 1 cup almond milk (or 1/2 cup almond milk & 1/2 cup coconut cream for a creamier texture)
  • 1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate (70% cacao)
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp chilli powder (use more or less to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 – 1 tsp coconut or maple syrup to taste (optional)
  • pinch salt (optional)


Put milk and chocolate in a pan on medium – low heat and stir till melted. Whisk in other ingredients and serve.

You can top with whipped cream or vegan vanilla ice cream & a sprinkle of chilli, cinnamon or nutmeg!
